NRI Quota in Karnataka MBBS 2026 – Complete Guide for NRI & NRI Sponsored MBBS Admission
Overview
Karnataka is considered one of India’s top choices to get an MBBS degree. There are so many highly regarded private and deemed medical schools located in Karnataka. NRI (Non-Resident Indian), OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) or PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) are allowed access to a set percentage of each medical school’s seat, called NRI/Management Quota.
There are two agencies that control how many NRI quota students can be accepted, KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) for government-funded (aided) seats; COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) and/or the deemed/private colleges for deemed/private funded (un-aided) seats. The above admissions are strictly per the National Medical Commission (NMC) and Supreme Court of India’s directions.
