|Government|Established 2012The Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women (BPS GMC), founded in 2012, is one of the most unique medical institutions situated at Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat, Haryana. The college bears the honour of being the first government medical college for women set up in the North Indian region following the establishment of Lady Hardinge Medical College in 1914. The college is named after Bhagat Phool Singh, an eminent social reformer of the country, and functions under the auspices of the Government of Haryana, affiliating with Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. Further, BPS GMC has been accorded recognition from the National Medical Commission (NMC). The institute provides an intake of 120 MBBS students per year along with different postgraduate courses. The vast campus of 88 acres comprises a 550-bed multispeciality teaching hospital furnished with intensive care units, modular operation theatres, and highly sophisticated diagnostic centres that ensure excellent clinical training for its students. Modern lecture halls, advanced scientific laboratories, and an extensive central library form the strong educational framework of the institution. Students get admission purely on merit through the NEET-UG entrance test, wherein seats are allotted under the All India Quota (AIQ) and Haryana State Quota.

The spacious campus measuring 88 acres is an eco-friendly one that has been constructed by the NBCC at a staggering cost. The campus consists of advanced academic buildings, a 550-bed teaching hospital, classroom facilities, and state-of-the-art pre-clinical and para-clinical labs and has been constructed keeping in mind the security needs of women students. There is also a digital library, auditoriums, a gymnasium, sporting facilities, and complete accommodation facilities for faculty members.
