The MBBS Counselling for NEET UG 2026 will be managed by Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Haryana and shall be used for filling the underlying seat allotment process for medical admissions at government and private institutions within Haryana.

02Timeline of Important Dates for Haryana MBBS Candidate’s Counselling 2026

Haryana MBBS Counselling 2026 can commence only when the NEET-UG exam is conducted on 3rd May 2023. The results of NEET will be declared either by the end of May or the beginning of June. Registrations for Counselling will be held in July and conducted over several rounds, with the final stray vacancies round being conducted between October and November 2026.

03Eligibility Criteria for Haryana MBBS Counselling 2026

Academic Eligibility

10+2 or equivalent: Must have completed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.

Minimum Academic Score:

• General/EWS – 50% overall in PCB
• OBC/SC/ST – 40% overall in PCB
• PwD – 45% overall in PCB

NEET UG 2026 Qualification:

• Valid NEET UG 2026 score/certificate required.
• Minimum Qualifying Percentile:

            – General/EWS – 50th Percentile

            – OBC/SC/ST – 40th Percentile

            – PwD – 45th Percentile

Age Requirement:

• Minimum age = 17 years on or before December 31st, 2026.
• Maximum Age = there is no maximum age (as per NMC).

Domicile (State Quota):

• Candidates must be permanent residents of Haryana.
• Domicile certificate is required when applicants are verifying their documents

04Government Medical Colleges in Haryana 2026 – Seats & Fees

In the year 2026, 8 Government Colleges in Haryana will have approximately 1,110 MBBS seats available for students who have taken the NEET-UG exam. The major institutions are : PGIMS Rohtak, ESIC Faridabad, Kalpana Chawla GMC Karnal and BPS GMC Sonepat. Each of these colleges charges a fee for an MBBS (as per the regulations) in the range of ₹80,000-₹1.10 lakh per year; only a few seats are reserved for non-resident Indians.Koriawas, Narnaul

05Private Medical Colleges in Haryana 2026 – Seats & Fees

In Haryana, there are eight private medical colleges with mbbs admission to be offered through the NEET-UG for 2026 which would include; SGT University, Gurugram, MMU, Ambala, Adesh Medical College, Kurukshetra and Al-Falah, Faridabad). These institutions provide seats based on their management and NRI/Minority quotas. The yearly MBBS fee (for Indian citizens) at these private medical Institutions will vary between ₹1.40 Lakhs and ₹17 Lakhs depending on the College.

Compared to other states, cut-offs for MBBS in Haryana private colleges are lower. This is true for both open/EWS categories (cut-offs between 260-540) and the NRI/PwBD (cut-offs frequently between 120-200). Also, management/minority quota cut-offs are typically lower (around 230-250).

08Step-by-Step Haryana MBBS Counselling Process 2026

To participate in obtaining an MBBS seat, follow these detailed steps:

1. Registration

• Go to the official website of UHSR (uhsrugcounselling.com).
• Click on the registration button for MBBS/BDS Counselling 2026.
• Enter your NEET roll number, application number, and birth date.
• Set up the login information.
• Fill in all the appropriate personal, academic, and contact information.
• Pay the applicable fees

           – General/EWS/OBC: ₹4000

           – SC/ST/PwD: ₹1000

• Submit the registration form after you complete filling it out and receive your acknowledgement.

2. Choice Filling

• Log into the counselling portal.
• Choose the colleges and courses that you want to apply for.
• Rank the list of choices according to preference (you can choose up to 50+).
• Be sure you carefully review your choices before locking in your selection.
• Important: once a choice has been locked in, you are unable to modify it.

3. Document Verification

• After locking in your choices, go to the office of the counselling agency and show them the necessary documents to prove eligibility.

4. Allotting Seats

Based on each of the following, seats are allotted to candidates that meet the eligibility criteria:

• A person’s NEET AIR/State Rank
• An individual’s category status
• Your ranking of choice
• Available Seats

– After the online seat allotments are released, check the official website to find out what your seat allotment was for MBBS/BDS and download your allotment letter to take to your assigned college.

5. Reporting to Your Allocated College

• Make sure you report to your allocated college during the time specified for reporting (usually 3 to 5 school days).
• At the allocated college, you need to submit the original documents that were used to verify your eligibility; pay all admissions fees + any other associated fees incurred from enrollment; and,
• Complete all other enrollment actions (for example, “signing in” for campus activities). You will receive a formal “Confirmation of Enrollment” receipt for your records.

6. Subsequent Rounds.

• If you are not happy with your choice you may apply again in the 2nd round
• If you wish to attain your most desirable options you may apply to upgrade your seat
• You may wish to float your existing place while also attempting to upgrade
• If you would like to accept your current choices, you may choose to freeze your seat
• A final round called the Stray Seat round will also be conducted to fill any seat that remains unassigned after the 2nd round

A checklist of essential documents includes:

10Reservation Policy For Haryana MBBS Counselling 2026

                                                      State Quota Reservations

The Haryana MBBS reservation system includes 20% of the total number of seats reserved for SC (General and Deprived) categories. 13% of the total number of seats are reserved for BC-A category, while 14% are reserved for BC-B category. A further 10% of the total number of seats are reserved for EWS category applicants. In addition, a 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD, with the remaining available number of seats classified as open.

Special Quotas:

Freedom Fighter Quota: Limited seats for children/grandchildren of freedom fighters.

Sports Quota: State/National Level Players, as per guidelines.

Defense Personnels: for children/wards of defence personnel.

Kashmiri Migrants: as per government policy.

Bond Policy-Haryana MBBS ADMISSIONS

A candidate will have to sign a bond committing to:

• Mandatory Service Period: 5 Years
• Service Area: Rural or Disadvantaged Areas Only In The State of Haryana.
• Bond Amount Will Vary Approximately from ₹10-20 Lakhs (Varies College to College).
