The Rajasthan NRI Quota for MBBS 2026 is for reserved MBBS seats at the Government Medical Colleges in Rajasthan for Non-Resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and candidates who are sponsored as NRIs. Rajasthan is unique because it only has NRI Quota seats available in Government Medical Colleges, not private colleges, making it one of the most sought after states for NRI MBBS students in all of India. 

There are 471 NRI Quota MBBS seats available from 28 Government Medical Colleges throughout the state of Rajasthan. Students seeking an NRI seat must take the NEET UG Exam because admission is entirely based on merit through the NEET score; there is no internal reservation by NRI sub-category.

The counselling process is conducted by the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), located in Jaipur, and is completely online at the state level; this includes registration, document verification, choice filling, and multiple rounds of seat allotment. Document verification is done in person, at SMS Medical College in Jaipur, and is mandatory for All Applicants seeking an NRI Quota.

Currently, the approximate annual fee for NRI quota seats in Rajasthan for MBBS degrees is around US $27,151.65 to US $40,202 (the fee must be paid in US dollars). This makes it a much cheaper option than studying medicine abroad. The award of the degree will be recognised by the World Health Organisation and also by the National Medical Commission (NMC), allowing graduates of this degree to practise as doctors in India as well as some other countries.
